As a surprise to our girls, we had packed up their Eurogirl dolls and their doll outfits to take along. The hair was pretty matted and really needed mom's beauty parlor treatment, which I seldom have time to do. However, since I don't sleep very well in hotels, I got up and began working on each doll's hair before my sleeping beauties awoke.
The next morning, we got up and ate at the hotel, then we relaxed in our room for a while, and the girls made fun paintings and drawings. Afterward, we took a short swim in the indoor hotel pool. When we returned to our room, the pampering began. The girls took a bath together using a big purple grape-scented fizzy ball that turned the water a lovely color and scent. They used some nice American Girl shower gel I purchased for them last month at the Bath & Body Works in the Atlanta airport, and some fun new scrubbers. They also used a wonderful foot scrub on their feet, and a pampering clay mask on their faces.

Afterward, we gave each other pedicures while watching the Samantha American Girl movie. We smoothed our feet and then applied foot lotion, and then we painted our beautiful toes in our shade of choice. Next, we also painted our fingernails in a clear, but glittery, polish.

When we finished our pampering, the girls gathered their now-beautiful dolls and their purses, and we headed off to see our movie. They loved the movie & didn't find it scary at all, thankfully.

After we watched the movie, we went to the mall, where the girls used the tokens they had earned from mom & dad to each buy a new Webkinz, and we also picked out a few things for Michael as gifts to bring home. It was getting late, so we headed off to O'Charley's for a delicious dinner. When we left O'Charley's, we stopped by Krispy Kreme donuts, and I took the girls so they could see the donuts being made. This was their first time to ever see it, and they both mentioned it as one of their favorite things we did this weekend!
When we got back to our room, we spent some time reading and relaxing, and playing go fish. The girls adopted and played with their new webkinz, and then we headed off to bed again. In the morning, we packed up and headed for home.
Overall, we had a wonderful and fun-filled weekend, in spite of some difficult circumstances that were ongoing in another area of my life. I am thankful that we were able to spend this fun girl time together to bond and have a wonderful time.
